Here we have a beautiful lithograph print of Zarathushtra (also known by his Greek name, Zoroaster) who may have been the first monotheist and an ancient Iranian prophet (spiritual leader) founder of what is now known as Zoroastrianism (Mazdayasna). Tradition teaches that Zarathushtra lived about 600 B.C., but scholars have dated his life in what is now Iran to between 1500 and 1000 B.C.

The Zoroastrianism was founded in ancient Persia likely influenced the development of Judaism and predates both Christianity and Islam. Zoroastrianism is an ancient pre-Islamic religion of Iran which survived more prosperously in India after 7 CE. The descendants of Zoroastrian Iranian (Persian) immigrants are known as Parsis or Parsees. The influence of Arabic led to a drop in the 'p' sound in the Persian language, changing "Parsi" to "Farsi".

History of Zoroastrianism :

Even though the root history dates back to 2nd millennium BC, Zoroastrianism enters the recorded history around 600 BCE to 650 CE.
This millennium old empire started to decline after 7th Century CE after the conquest of Persia by Arab-Muslim. After the conquest, the persecution of Zoroastrians started to happen in large scale in Persia. This led to the migration of Zoroastrians to western India during 10th century CE. Some historians say Zoroastrians started migrating to India during the Sasanian period (224AD)
