Here we have here beautiful chromolithograph print of Rama Pattabhishekam (Coronation of Rama) by C.G. Ramanujam printed in Ravi Varma Press.

It is tastefully embellished with zari and fabric by one of its previous owners which makes it even more beautiful.

The print is framed in teakwood and and has an acrylic protection in place of glass. This is an original print from 1920s.

What is Oleography?:
Oleographs, also called chromolithographs, are multi-colour art prints, stemming from the process of lithography. Pioneered in the 1830s, the process of producing oleographs came into wide commercial use in the 1860s. Depending on the number of colours present, an oleograph could take months to produce by very skilled workers.
