Ravi Varma had his paintings printed in Chitrashala, Pune even before he started his own press. Chitrashala press was an inspiration to Ravi Varma. It was not just for Ravi Varma but it was a boon for both Indian and non Indian artists of that time to get their work printed. They are highly in demand among the collectors of chromolithographs all over the world.
