A striking sculptural head of Bhairava, crafted in brass and finished in a rich copper-toned surface.

The sculpture captures Shiva with a serene yet powerful presence. His wide, expressive eyes and distinctive moustache are framed by an elaborate crown and finely worked ornamental details. The raised patterns across the crown, ears and neck add depth to the sculptural form, while the warm copper-toned finish gives the sculpture a rich, glowing presence.

Made in brass and originating from coastal Karnataka, South India, this is a relatively recent piece that draws upon the region’s long tradition of expressive metalwork.

A sculptural piece with a strong presence, it can stand beautifully on its own or be paired with the accompanying Parvati Brass Sculptural Head as a representation of the divine couple.
