The historical origins of Mukhalingas date back to 2 BCE. This distinctive style of Mukhalingam finds its roots in ancient Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia, Vietnam, and India. In India, particularly in Karnataka, Mukhalingam is quite prevalent.
